Default Advice for switching to 6-handed?

Always was a full ring-game player but with Party going down it doesn't look like I'll be able to find as much action anymore...so obviously I'm going to have to start playing some short-handed.

I'm not really experienced here at all, obviously I assume the game gets looser and hand values increase. Any other pointers or way-of-thinking you guys can lend?

It's like 9-handed when the first 3 people have folded.

PP increase in value,
Position > everything.
Set is nuts,
QQ+ is nuts
the 5-10 rule
Raise alot preflop and never limp.

Move yourself
You always live your life
Never thinking of the future
Prove yourself
You are the move you make
Take your chances win or loser

See yourself
You are the steps you take
You and you - and thats the only way

Shake - shake yourself
Youre every move you make
So the story goes
