Re: 10,000th post- My Mission: A JIHAD on SSNL opponents
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Is no one else going to point out that making $1,000 per day is a really silly goal? Does the OP fail if he only makes $900 one day? Why not just have a goal of like $20,000 months or something that is actually possible? Just play good. This is so results-oriented it's going to hurt your psyche. Or is he just trying to average $1,000 per day? anyway, gl, even though I'm confused. [/ QUOTE ] obv avrg if the exp is finished at the end of feb. no way u can make 1k in a day playing 25NL [/ QUOTE ] I'm probably just reading it wrong. Regardless I don't think it's a good idea to tie your development as a poker player with how much you make in the next month. and btw, now that I read it again ("I will be making over $1,000 per day at fullstack SSNL by the end of February"), it looks like he does mean he's trying to make $1000 per day each day by the end of February, and this 25nl stuff is just to improve as a player. He can clarify if I'm wrong. |

He can clarify if I'm wrong. [/ QUOTE ] the money is just a goal....it's an average per day I put together some random charts looking at hands per day at 200NL and winrates. $1,000 per day seemed an achievable, but challenging goal. It's also a nice round number . Yeah, I started at 25NL to get my legs under me again. It has been months since I played fullstack no-limit holdem. I'm going to move up every time I have 25 buyins in my PStars account. I have a decent bankroll, but am trying to mimic the steps anyone could take if they have some knowledge, study hard, and are dedicated to getting better at poker. I'm just trying to show what is possible, even for a donk like myself. The more I'm in poker, the more I just get results-oriented. The decision-making idea is too easy to hide behind. Money is the way of keeping score. However, I have more than a full understanding of what kind of streaks are possible for the winning player. |

Okay, that sounds pretty good then. gl
btw, your OOT story was awesome. Something about prison stories about "good guys" is just naturally interesting. |

Re: 10,000th post- My Mission: A JIHAD on SSNL opponents
oh yeah, I realize I'm playing microstakes now and posted this in small stakes.
It's only micro stakes until I get into poker shape. I'll be back upto 100NL by the end of January. 200NL was my most consistent home for poker. SSNL has been my favorite strategy forum for some time, so I like posting here better. If you feel I should post the beginning in micro, well that's just your opinion man. |

I cannot sustain $188/hr at 100NL like Isura anyway...update time My mind is finally gelling back into poker form after about 25k hands at 25NL. I struggled at first and had one extremely bad day. However, all the gears are clicking now after lots of study at flopturnriver and thoroughly digesting the poohbah posts. I had planned on spending this whole month at 25NL and all of January at 50NL. (100NL starting in February) However, it might be time for me to move up before I build too many habits that dominate the low level donks. Here are my last 2 days (short on hands since I had bowling league and 8-ball league) I love how I'm winning out of the blinds....ROFL The only thing I'm displeased about so far is my reluctance to let go off AK and AQ at times. |
