Here's the thing....

A spider web on the patio. I deposited a bit (insect sized) of fat (butter), some protein (chicken), and some carbs (white bread); into the spider web.

Kinda funny.

The spider cut out the bit of bread. The bit of bread is on the ground below the web.

The bit of chicken, is hanging out in the web. The spider seems to have ignored it, but didn't throw it away.

However, the spider seems to like the butter. The spider wrapped it up and brought it to the center of the web. Also, the spider is protecting the bit of butter.

Ummmm,
