Default PokerStars/OneCall Gift Cert FYI.

Hey guys, just wanted to share this since it surprised me.

Unfortunately a close friend sustained major injuries and has been in the hospital since Oct 6th. Long story short, I ordered a $200 OneCall.com gift cert. from PS in Dec and just now called to use it. When I first searched their website they had tens of thousands of dvds in stock. I just talked to their rep on the phone and he said it "was in the best interest of the company and the customers to no longer offer dvds."

So, I'm just putting it out there; anyone purchasing the OneCall.com gift cert with plans to buy dvds is out of luck.

I emailed Scottyy to see if I can get an FPP refund somehow, but that's not the important issue here. OneCall recently changed their inventory drastically and I would advise anyone considering one of their gift certs to make sure what you want is still in stock. I would assume they made these changes with the new year, but am not positive.

Scottyy, with this inventory change, will Stars consider offering certificates to other online vendors?

What does this have to do w/ anything you said afterward?

I'm fine w/ Onecall. I'v an aspiring photographer and they have almost everything I want for photographic needs. Keep it up Scotty!
So they don't have DVD's. Buy a DVD recorder and get a Netflix account. Problem solved.

It's background info; the only reason I purchased the card was to hook a buddy up with dvds because he's laid out on a hospital bed.

I'm not slandering OneCall in my OP and that wasnt my intention. I was surprised by the drastic inventory change and wanted to make sure anyone thinking about getting one noticed. Like I said in the title, just an FYI; not a "zomg onecall suxzors" thing, because they probably dont suck. I emailed Scottyy and he's already refunded my FPPs 4-5 hours later, so kudos to Stars and Scottyy as usual.

I mean to receive the certificate once you purchase it from the PS store.

OneCall.com gift certificate codes are emailed in less than 48 hours most of the time.
