Re: AKo
The flop cap is bad. I just call the 3-bet there.
I'd still raise the turn, though, no matter how the flop was played. Calling the 3-bet and then calling the river is appropriate. |

Re: AKo
I am ok with how u played it, but I am curious if anyone would simply call the turn bet. Villain likes his hand even with a K out there, and still likes it when the Ace falls. This leads me to think we are either chopping this pot or behind to AA or KK. I am discounting a set other than Kings because I doubt 77 orr 66 is capping PF. What other hands but AA, KK or AK would play this the way villain played it?

Re: AKo
I'm not capping flop and not raising the turn (assuming villain plays normal). U beat approximately zero hands in his range but u lose against 6.

Re: AKo
* grunch *
I usually work under the "bet top pair until you're told you're beat" approach. I think the villan's 3-bet on the flop here is a sign that top pair might not be good. So, I call down from there. Although the Ace on the turn helps our hand, it doesn't improve to beat the set that villan may have had on the flop. I wouldn't rule out 77 or 66, but it is more likely KK, AA or AK. |

Re: AKo
I don't like the flop cap. Your raise pretty much says "I have a K" and his 3-bet says "I don't care".
