If this sort of thing doesn't fly in the student life forum, and I get a failing grade for it, perhaps outlaw this type of post in the guide to student life forum sticky?

There is a thread entitled "Semi-Official..." which is where you can list where you go to school, etc.

This forum sucks balls when its a million "I got to X Univ." "I got to Z State" threads.

I tried to assist in condensing them.

well it doesnt work for anyone when half the people post in the combined thread and half in the main thread.

people post from random schools looking to meet people and then the whole front page of the site is

"Southeastern Montana State", "Northwest Southern State"

Then nobody posts in this forum because it looks like a Facebook/Match.com for people from random schools and most people don't care about that.

I enjoy reading this forum, and it works best when its organized. Given the traffic, etc. that this forum receives, the mods take a more hands off approach which works, but I think organizing it helps.

Then again, maybe the badgers should get an exemption. After all, I drink beer in the same place the poker brat learned to play.

I'm a UW student. I play 2/4 to 5/10NL. I'd be interested in something like this especially if there are other successful MSNL players who would be there.
