Default NL10 Probably a standard question

Hey,

this is the first hand I post, so please be gentle.

Villian is 35/23/2.25 over 139 hands. (I didn't know that at the time the hand was played)

I think I loose a lot of money playing big pots with mediocre hands, thats why I only break even playing Poker.

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.05/$0.10 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $14.75
BB: $5.90
UTG: $10.35
MP: $6.95
CO: $9.90
Hero (BTN): $13.50

Preflop: Hero is dealt Q K (6 Players)
3 folds, <font color="red">Hero raises to $0.40</font>, SB calls $0.35, BB folds
Uncalled bet of $0.00 returned to Hero

Flop: ($0.90) 9 K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
<font color="red">SB bets $0.50</font>, <font color="red">Hero raises to $1.50</font>, <font color="red">SB raises all-in to $14.35</font>, Hero folds

Pot Size: $16.75 ($0.15 Rake)

Results in white:
<font color="white"> He showed 8c9c </font>

I think just waiting for a better spot is the right thing to do. Sorry for wasting your time, but this is one of those hands where I think I should call (and probably do that too often)

Hey a first hand post that includes stats and is converted, you're ahead of the curve! I usually raise to $2 on the flop, but everything else is standard.

I think you played the hand fine, especially against an unknown. Just take note of how he played and play your other hands against him accordingly.

Pretty standard play.

As skoal said, make a note of his play and exploit it next time.

One thing:
Leave out the results, because it influences the poster's.

Thanks everyone. Should I post the results afterwards or just leave them out at all?

leave them out as they have no effect on what actions should be taken during play

Based on the results though I'd say it's time for a new deck.
