Default Folding AK to a 3bet

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.25/$0.50 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

CO: $110.65
BTN: $43.75

Reads: Villain is 26/8/0.75 over 61, in other words a pretty passive fish.

I have been running 20/19/oo

Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 Players)
Hero raises to $2.00, MP folds, CO raises to $7.00, 4 folds
Uncalled bet of $5.00 returned to CO

This is standard against this opponent, right?

With your read I think you can let this go. We're hoping for AJs/AQ here, plus you're OOP.

I don't understand this. Those are just some stats over a small sample. Don't you think villain could have more than just AA/KK/QQ/AK? I know it sucks to be oop with a hand that misses most of the time, but isn't that still a call?

I'd 4bet before I flat called.

I'm going to challenge the wisdom on this.

Text results appended to pokerstove.txt

145,545,840 games 0.062 secs 2,347,513,548 games/sec

Board:
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 44.584% 38.62% 05.96% 56207902 8681678.50 { 88+, ATs+, KTs+, QJs, AJo+ }
Hand 1: 55.416% 49.45% 05.96% 71974581 8681678.50 { AsKh }

That's the top 8% of hands, which is his raising range. We are still ahead of it, and he is probably raising even a little wider, seeing as he is the first player in in the CO. We will be OOP, but if the player is bad, we can still outplay him post flop. I say this is a call.

4-bet or fold. Problem with AK is when an A or K flops, your probably only getting action when your beat. Assuming a weaker Ace is not in his range.
