Default Wii - Elebits - Official Thread

This has been my pick for 'sleeper hit' for awhile and it comes out December 15th! Instead of my trying to explain in detail what Elebits is, you can read the IGN preview here: http://wii.ign.com/articles/749/749108p1.html

A quick summary is that it's a puzzler game which uses the Wiimote very well to interact with the environment to do everything from trash rooms looking for hidden elebits to creating your own levels to upload and have friends trash to creating insane domino rallys and rube goldbergs

The combination of puzzling aspects, wiimote usage, level editor and multiplayer fun will make this game a hit IMO

it'll control like an fps, but instead of merely shooting an object, u may pull it or push it or twist it or turn it, etc

discuss this game here both in anticipation and then once it is released on the 15th

oh, and here are some youtube videos:

This game looks really interesting.

I think it will either hit or miss, can't wait until the reviews are out.

I mean I think it's either going to be downright horrible or incredibly brilliant. This isn't going to be a so-so game like Excite Truck. I'm hoping it is awesome.

Nich missed the best one.

Demonstrating why the "Create a Level" for this game has much potential for comedy: http://youtube.com/watch?v=hszOo99xL7w

Yes, I did. If they can keep that up for the whole game with a good multiplayer mode, then it will be a huge hit and a must have.

If it gets old quick and the multiplayer sucks, then it will just fade. That's what I want to see reviews of the retail version first.

First review.

http://www.gamerankings.com/itemrank...eviewid=748367

Guess it is possible for it to just be okay. Meh.

Only 10 hours isn't going to make me want to purchase it, especially if the multiplayer isn't fantastic. Rayman was a good purchase IMO because the multiplayer was fun and had replayability.

It's going in my rental pile along with Red Steel.

89/100 is NOT an 'okay'...they simply are saying if u aren't planning on playing multiplayer or doing level building (one of best features imo) or going through the game a few times to get everything, then it won't last you very long

however, if u plan on playing multiplayer, doing level building, uploading your maps to friends for them to play and playing their maps that they built, and playing through a few times for fun and to get more stuff, then it's worth it

so it's a good game (not just okay), but u may wanna rent it depending on your goals for what you wanna get out of the game
