[ QUOTE ]
Overall wagering was estimated at $8bn this year, up from between $6-7bn last year, which leaves an illicit windfall of just over $7.9bn in the pockets of those in the unregulated part of the business. [/ QUOTE ] I hate when people equate money wagered and revenue for casinos. Just because the money was wagered doesn't mean the books keep it all, some people do win their bets, contrary to Bill Frist's belief. |

[/ QUOTE ] Not sure exactly where that number came from, but it includes a huge writeoff... Party's Net for the first 3 quarters was significantly higher than that. I believe they are scheduled to release 4th quarter info roughly on March 1st. |

Party earned over 400 million thru the first 6 months of the year 2006...so the last 6 months of 2006 they lost over $260 million...or about 1/2 billion $$$$ per year.....

[/ QUOTE ] Well, not exactly... they had previously announced that they estimated their writeoff due to the closure to the US at $250 million. So, its more an accounting thing, than anything else. However, I still can't find where that annual figure came from, as I do not believe Partygaming has released a number yet... |
