Default Kind of a weird preflop spot - deep (sort of)

I wasn't sure what the best play was here.

BB is 33/9 and seems kind of retarded. Got his stack with AA vs KK and set over set hands, neither of which were played well imo.

Poker Stars, $1/$2 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players

MP: $346.90
CO: $87.40
BTN: $75.75
Hero (SB): $498.65
BB: $664.40
UTG: $69.55

Pre-Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (SB)
UTG raises to $10, 3 folds, Hero raises to $30, BB calls $28, UTG raises to $69.55 and is All-In

Call and play fast postflop, of course. Why would you try to blast the foolio out of the pot?

given read, probably call and town him postflop. if he's the kind to play fit or fold (small pot/big pot), raise again and charge him

my thought was that if I just flat, he's getting 4-1 immediate odds to outdraw me 250bbs deep. Flawed concern?

depends how he plays post, but generally yes.

some of these guys semi-balance their horrible preflop play by accidentally practicing extreme pot control postflop. they'll see every flop but fold non-monsters and then manage to get stacks in with their big hands. inadvertent tags just see their preflop stats and stack off semi-blindly.

if this guy is playing that style, i'd bump it again pre. we're going to have a hard time getting 1/2 of his stack and if the whole thing goes in, i'm not sure how good i feel about my aces.

If you call and he calls, there'll be 210 in the pot with 430 behind, and he's unlikely to fold any kind of pair. I think that more than compensates for any chance of being outdrawn. It's not like he's set-mining or anything

your right...i agree that raising the pot is desirable to make it expensive for a the bb to come in...i think a raise that would lower his odds to below 2 to 1 would be good...perhaps another $100

Exactly. I'll take my chances here, given the read that Villain is semi-retarded.
