Re: NL100, KK faces AI on River
I don't like the calldown of such a nit... Imo you need to be raising at some point to see where you're at.
Is raising to 30$ on flop and folding to a shove a bad idea against such a nit? I mean, 1.77 pretty low AF, 12, doesn't play hands... What do you think? Isn't a shove in this situation ALWAYS a 10 against such an it??? |

Re: NL100, KK faces AI on River
I would have bet more like 7 on flop and reraised also. I think this hand is much more difficult to play since you gave up the lead.

Re: NL100, KK faces AI on River
Against this rock, I'm folding the turn. I expect to see 99-TT often here. It's possible he has JJ-QQ, but I would expect a pre-flop reraise from QQ and probably JJ, and for both of those hands a check behind on the turn (from this type of player).
Others have said re-raise the flop. I disagree b/c villain is a rock, and I don't want to play a big pot against him. With these modest stacks and the amount that would be in the pot, I don't want to re-raise unless I'm prepared to call a shove (and I wouldn't be against this guy). I just think there are much better spots than this to play a big pot. |

Re: NL100, KK faces AI on River
you are right in that this is a WA/WB situation. so on the flop you should call it because it is a minraise, and then see what he does on the turn.
on the turn he bets almost the flop. it is much more likely he is doing this with trips. fold the turn. |
