Getting Stox via PokerStars affiliate, 250 FPP minimum.
Originally posted in affiliates but then discovered this forum...
There's an affiliate offering a free year of Stox training videos for signing up with PokerStars. This is ~$250 value. I realize I'm the only person without a Stars account in the civilized world, but I'm looking into this. The catch is that I need to generate at least 250 FPP. In addition, for hands to qualify towards this 250, the rake must be at least 40 cents (ring games). Tourneys/SNGs need at least a $1 rake to qualify. I've heard each FPP is approx. 16 cents but I don't know how the whole system works. Can someone provide a breakdown of how a FPP compares to a $1 of rake? I'd like to know how much/what stakes I'll need to play on Stars to get my value out of this. Yes, I shouldn't be a nit and should just buy Stox outright, etc. since it's value is >>>>$250, etc. I know this but I've been planning on playing some on Stars for a while now and this seems like a good reason to start... P.S. Looking forward to Ed Miller's videos. Nice catch. |

Hi,
If you play NL25 or higher it will be a quick job. I guess you're talking about Pokersourceonline. This is a very nice site and the promotion is pretty easy. Gonzo |

Thanks. I think I'll just grind cash to clear it quickly.

The better option I saw was to open a Bodog account via them and do the $300 sports bet by laying it off on betfair or something.
