Re: podcasts
I was looking around for a daily news sort of thing and downloaded Anderson Cooper 360 but it's just not anything I'm interested in. I want to hear about world events, politics, economy stuff rather than "12 miners in Idaho trapped underground" stuff over and over. Any suggestions?

Re: podcasts
This Sporting Life is a comedy sports broadcast with two fictional sports annoucers, HG and Roy on Australian radio JJJ.
These guys had their own TV show during the Sydney Olympics and the American atheletes in particular were desperate to get on it. Hilarious stuff. I never miss a podcast. |

Re: podcasts
Riverboat,
You started a reggae thread a few days ago which I responded to, but forgot to add some podcasts. There are a few really good rocksteady and reggae podcasts: REGGAE PODCASTS: Dance Crasher Algoriddim (has a two-part like 3 hour episode dedicated to Gregory Isaacs) Pressure Drop Soundcast NEWS PODCASTS: Democracy Now The Economist NY Times International Hour: Washington Post Radio OC Register (local for me) Also, I think the BBC has a couple podcasts as well. Also, I don’t know if anyone else is inclined, but I like to listen to lectures on my ipod and there are a bunch of good ones: Berkeley has like ~ dozen really good podcasts that are recorded straight from the professor’s lecture. There is a US History one called History 7B – Spring 2006: US History from the Civil War to the Present . This one has a ton of hour-long lectures on different events (WWII, the Vietnam War, and the Civil Rights Movement). Harvard Press had an interview-with-the-author type podcast that covers many fields. Very interesting. |

I [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Tony Kornheiser Show [/ QUOTE ] This isn't on at the moment right? Wiki says it returns in Jan. I like it but it gets tiring. I thought it was really good around March Madness with all the Oden/Durant stuff. When he speaks to Bones(?) about basketball it's cool, that guy definitely knows his stuff. It was funny when Tony met Larry David at that party and LD basically ignored him, heh heh. |

It's got the same crew, and is still decentish but certainly not as good. My favorite TKS moment was when Peter Yarrow from Peter, Paul and Mary accidently broke into Tony's house the night before. |
