He went to Tampa Bay and everyone stopped caring about him?

Re: Carlos Pena
You know he was a huge prospect a few years ago, right? He's always had the talent. I wouldn't have guessed he'd ever slug .600, but him busting out with a ridiculous year is less surprising than, say, the year Eric Byrnes is having.

Re: Carlos Pena
Kos - Yes I'm aware he was a huge prospect. Billy Beane traded him because he knew he had the awesomeness known as Dan Johnson waiting to replace Pena.

Re: Carlos Pena
I feel like having Dan Johnson and Carlos Pena would have been okay.

Re: Carlos Pena
Funny how arguably the best 4 franchises in baseball all dumped him for nothing and now he's pwning on the worst team in baseball and is worth more than each of the 4 team's starting 1B.

Re: Carlos Pena
IIRC, he always had a reputation for being a head case. Maybe being released/traded a few times got his attention. He's probably finally realized that being talented isn't enough; you have to put some work into being a good MLB player. Hopefully, he doesn't pull a Kevin Mithcell and revert back to being a schlub after his one great year.
