My dad wants to stake me

My dads a gambler, hes done it for years on the horses, football, roulette, blackjack. Now since i gots the brains I play poker. Ive explained to my dad for months that you cant win profitably at gambling and he has this big talk about having "balls" to stake money at "high limits", saying i wouldnt be able to do it. Im like, if i had the bankroll i would.

So i have like a decent month, send a graph to my dad and hes like, "wanna go 5050?"

even if he did stake me some of my roll for higher limits, how am I meant to repay him, he says ill move up quicker.

Tbh.... i dont think he will be happy if i had a bad run, some people just dont understand.

This deal is worse than neutral ev for you. Instead of playing a higher limit and having to give away 50% of your expectation you could be playing a game half as small and keeping 100%. But your bb/100 should be higher in the smaller game.
