wow i'm really surprised people think this is a bluff, i think it's a value bet and perfectly fine

[/ QUOTE ]

what hand range do you expect this type of player to call with then?

(not saying this is a bad line, just curious what you think his range is)

[/ QUOTE ]

a ten or two nines or two eights

[/ QUOTE ]

just cause he might sometimes call you with these hands doesnt make it good... you gotta give him a range not a group of hands youre praying works out for youre line.

If he had us beat he would probably shove the turn. It seems like we're way ahead of his range so the question becomes is it better to c/c and extract value from a missed draw or to shove and extract max value from a ten (or 2 9's)....

Since our line looks like a missed draw i think shoving is best since we're likely to get looked up.

Sorry if this is a basic quesion, but is flop c/r standard?
And if he pushes over us, are we calling?

Other thing I'm noticing since moving up to 1/2 and now 2/4 is that people are much more aggro. And not really that often in a smart way. They just bet harder. I find that good but just short of monster hands hands like this in a drawy flop get so much action from a huge range of draws that at 5/10 (if the aggression continues to grow) that maybe getting it in on this flop is a good thing. Or am I reading it wrong? I guess I'm wondering if it's time to add in some slow plays of JJ+/AKs now at 2-4 is the question. At 1-2 and below, it's just a waste of value imo, but maybe at 2-4 and up it's a good idea in certain spots.

This looks a lot like a missed fd (your line) and if im opp i'd consider looking it up light.
