CDS, If you are going to break 2+2 rules and post an entire article from an outside source, you could at least have the decency to provide a link or in some way give credit to the author/publisher. [/ QUOTE ] oops...i thought I had put ProFootballTalk in there. and its not really an article..its from their blog thingie |

Re: billick calls out mangini\'s jets for cheating
[ QUOTE ]
Some folks in league circles are troubled by the notion that Mangini violated the code of silence among coaches, doing so not because it was "the right thing to do," but because he thought he could gain a competitive advantage by pointing out a competitive advantage that he previously used to his own advantage, culminating in the head-coaching position he now holds. If, some believe, Mangini believed that it was wrong to videotape defensive signals, he should have taken a stand when he was working for the Patriots. [/ QUOTE ] I should have stopped reading right there. Apparently this writer and these anonymous sources are morons. |

Re: billick calls out mangini\'s jets for cheating
[ QUOTE ]
Wow. A lot of people are completely missing the point here which is that another head coach called out Mangini for something that it is very rountine and wouldn't normally be made an issue. The possible reason to do this? To send a message to Mangini that he was out of line for ratting out the Patriots. [/ QUOTE ] I disagree. Coaches routinely say in their press conference that the other team was holding, chucking WRs, simulating snap counts etc. Its usually barely noticed by the press. This is getting play because of the previous weeks news but it isn't really Billick calling out Mangini. |
