the guy won 70k wahoo. but if he had played those two hands there's a good chance he'd have had a bigger stack and could have cashed for more.

[/ QUOTE ]

or he could have gotten unlucky, been knocked out and made 0 money. obviously he knows the risk. like 80% he doubles his stack, but at the same time, 20% he makes nothing. If tens of thousands of dollars are worth that much to him i obviously cant blame what he did.

also, i folded pocket aces today. but it was in a satellite and i had just watched the last player be eliminated at the other table and then folded. i got a seat by folding aces, it was hot.

Kmon,
You are wrong there are definetely spots with bubble implications where you can fold AA pf.

This guy is an idiot I don't the live tournament rules but could he like shove and flip his cards face up or something like that. Or tell people I'm not going all in unless i get AA and than open shove when he gets it and show it after the hand or something.

[/ QUOTE ]you cant expose ur cards in a tournament

[/ QUOTE ]

That doesnt matter, flip them anyways, pretend it was by mistake to save face and get your penalty. He wasnt thinking about playing a hand anyways, so why not make the smart move, take that pot and sit out for a bit...?

[/ QUOTE ]

the hand would be considered dead and he'd lose whatever money he put in the pot to raise

I love it. When they interviewed Ed and the others at the table, David Williams gave off the vibe that the OP did, why should this guy even be playing poker. Then Ed finished higher than Williams and 95 % of the rest of the field. $10k and up is a [censored] ton of money to some people. It is to me to me at least. I can’t fault him for wanting a piece of that. He did what it took to get into the money.

[/ QUOTE ]

But if David Williams got rockets three times he may well have finished above this [censored].

[/ QUOTE ]

What are rockets?

Why would you let anyone know that you did that? Don't put your cards up to the hole cam, don't even look, go to the bar till the money, whatever...

That's a good point. If you're going to fold any hand, why even look at your cards. It'll keep you from second guessing yourself later.

If you saw his interview on CardPlayer, he did say that he would never do it again.
