Default If Bets

I have a limited sports betting BR. The sportsbook I use offers if bets but I wasn't sure if it was a smart to use them or are they just a waste of money?

Its good if u know a wager will win, say its late in 2nd half.. and ur bankroll is out on wagers.. This lets u make a bet before a game starts with potential winning on ur bet that is almost won.. If the 1st bet ends up not covering then ur 2nd wager ( the if bet) is off.

Most sports books don't allow you to convert a bet in progress to a conditional bet. You usually have to specify it is an If bet before the any games start.

I've seen the ability to add a conditional to a bet in progress on 1 sportsbook out of 8-9 I've used over the last few years.
