Absolute Poker ....
... accepts deposits through Western Union, so it shouldn't be effected by this new law correct? If so, hopefully other sites will incorperate this method as well.

Western Union okay ? Tell that to BetOnSports.
100% backwards ....
Western Union is clearly covered by this Act and has tripped up operators in the past as well. If you think that Western Union transactions are a safe harbor, please remember that BetOnSports was indicted and had to shut down in no small part because it was charged with taking deposits via Western Union. |

AP will still be able to accept deposits though. It might not be WU, however, they will accept them. AP is not going away.

do they accept neteller? [/ QUOTE ] Yes they do, I just made a deposit last night using that method. I think they have a daily limit of 25K too so it's pretty easy to transfer a large roll in there. |

WU a very non optimal way to transfer anyways, fee's are large and senders can be blocked pretty easily. I used to operate a WU station from time to time and I can see that it would not be difficult to block.

That is a very touching mantra, repeat it enough times and that will make it legal ???
You may end up visiting Vito in the corner coffeeshop, but there will be a way, albeit illegal, to make a deposit. This is NOT news, sportsbooks who have "credit" customers have been doing this for years, but it IS illegal and provides a poor method for a mass market like poker. |
