Thank you for all of the responses. I was hoping to try higher than 4/8 but 8/16 seemed like a big jump. I perfer limit but 3/6 or 4/8 just doesnt keep my interest anymore. I guess I may have to look around for it.

Thank you very much again.

the mirage 6/12 goes pretty much every weekend afternoon. it sometimes breaks around dinner time but comes back later in the evening. during the week, i guess most of the regulars play 10/20 instead.

the weekend 6/12 has been reasonably awesome the last several times i've played in it.

mirage is the *only* room where you will regularly find 6/12.

i have found most of the 8/16 games in the city to be pretty crappy, but i think the key is to play late at night when they ramp up. afternoons/weekdays, they are quite tight and not very much fun.

From what I hear, 6/12 and 8/16 are getting VERY hard to find. My last trip to Vegas I sat at the one 8/16 being spread at the Bellagio, to find it was being played with red and blue (ugh) and nitty as hell. Plenty o' 4/8 to be found, but NL is king these days.

As others have said good luck!
There is a real dead area between 4/8 and 15/30 LHE in Vegas.
You may find 6/12 at MGM or Caesars but I doubt it. The most likely place to find 6/12 is Mirage but even that seems to only run occasionally.
You also may find 8/16 at Venetian, Wynn and Bellagio but these games often break early or play shorthanded most of the night.
If you are going to Vegas my advice would be to learn 1/2 No Limit.

1 year ago the 6-12 seemed to be going pretty regularly at Caesar's. Is that no longer the case?

Having played these levels almost exclusively last month out there, I can say these do get spread, eventually. I did have to wait for a game at all 3. In terms of wait time/likelihood, I would rank them Caesar's, Mirage, Venetian (8/16).

Just drive to California or Casino AZ in Phoenix and have plenty of games to choose from.

Casino AZ usually has at least 2 of each 6/12 and 8/16 running!
