Would a judge have to be a "conservative" to preside over a fair and legal trial for Libby?

[/ QUOTE ]
Not necessarily....

[ QUOTE ]
Again, do you think that Judge Walton is presiding over an unfair or unlawful trial? If so, why?

[/ QUOTE ]
Unlawful...
One example to tieing the defense's ability to present evidence with Libby foregoing his constitutional right not to testify. After you provide me the court trasncripts proving the defence raised no objections over the judges rulings of admissible evidence then I can provide more details. Default Re: Scooter Libby Trial

Why do you guys continue to attempt to "debate" Felix? He is clearly leveling everyone here. Yes, Libby has a Constitutional right not to testify. He does not, however, have a right to introduce anything he pleases into evidence. The Federal Rules of Evidence govern what he can and cannot introduce. It sounds like Libby's attorneys were wanting to introduce hearsay evidence, and the judge was not going to allow it. The judge said Libby would have to take the stand to corroborate the evidence. The judge is not forcing Libby to give up any right, he is merely making sure Libby complies with the federal rules.

Felix cannot be this stupid; you are all being leveled.

I think your analysis is spot-on except for Felix not being sincere. Based on his posting history I think it's fairly likely he's genuine.
