Default 500NL Live: Weak Trips facing heat

2/5 live at the Detroit MGM, 9-handed.

The table has been playing very loose preflop, with frequent large multiway pots. The maniacs at the table (not Villain) are also bad post-flop.

Hero has $600. Villain, a reasonable TAG, is in MP and has Hero covered. Neither Villain nor Hero has done anything out of line, playing a smallish number of hands, but playing them pretty aggro.

Hero is in the BB with 43o.

Preflop: Maniac #1 is utg and makes it $15 to go. Maniac #2 to his left calls, Villain calls, SB (weak/tight) calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (5 players) ($75 pot): 733 rainbow.
SB checks, Hero checks, Maniac#1 bets $35, Maniac#2 calls, Villain raises to $200, SB folds, Hero ???

Also, Villain started talking, in a friendly way, saying "What are you thinking about? You're a good poker player, you know what I have. Think about it. Just fold. I'll show you my hand. Believe me, you don't want any part of it."

Finally, Maniac #1 mucked out of turn while I was thinking, and Maniac #2 didn't seem interested.

ARRRRRR-IN.

Anything you do will show lots of strength, so you might as well shove now before a bad card hits the turn (like an ace if villain has KK).

Folding is obviously stupid.

EDIT: I mis-read a little and thought villain was the PFR. So ignore the comment about him having KK, but it doesn't change things really. Get it in.

I probably dump it, but am not real thrilled.

Thanks. What made this difficult for me were two things: (1) it was clear at the table that one was unlikely to have any fold equity against the 2 Maniacs unless they had very marginal hands -- they truly were big gamblers -- so it made me very wary of what this decent player who just called preflop might have; and (2) he appeared strong to me -- something about his mannerisms.

He likely has a real hand, but he could easily have something like TT.

I mean you only lose to 77 and A3s, otherwise you have the nuts. You can't flop any better with 43o...

I'd probably fold 43o preflop if you don't want to continue with it postflop when you hit trips.

I don't see him having a boat and playing it that hard, and I don't see any 3's he could really have except possibly A3s.

However, he is making a strong raise into a big multiway pot. Definately puts you in a tough position now, which is why I think you should be folding 43o preflop to begin with.

I would have went with it, tough situation but in that scenario its tough to put him on 77 or a3 as he would have prob slow played. Prob something like 1010 or JJ.
