mp2 surely is showing a decent hand with his range plus its a draw heavy board... most of the time you're up against twoo pair or a flush draw and since its early, I would have to fold this and get it in later on when it matters the most.

Yeah the last fold was easy, but how about the rest?

Well MP2 is a moran, obv. Button isn't trying to kill any draws with the call, and may be on a draw himself. I would prob push with TPTK here, only real worry is a set or KJ. It is a drawy board- I think you see mostly hands you beat.

Calling preflop is ok
The raise on the flop is also good, I like t180
I have a hard time folding here, but I think it`s ok

Take a note if MP2 had a premium-hand
I push if this is his standard-raise

Sometimes I hate these situations, especially early, but I always have to remind myself... AK is AK, don't feel guilty about playing big early.

I would have substantially raised pre-flop in a heart beat. Protect your hand, AKs is not a hand you want to let the town see the flop on. If you only pick up the 100 out there, there's nothing wrong with that, it's better than calling the 40, watch someone push you out, and then 3 orbits later you're wishing you could catch some cards. Or even worse, you stage into all-in with TPTK and someone's snuck in the backdoor with two-pair, or an average set because you didn't shut them out pre-flop.

There's still a chance MP2 calls you either on a really nice hand, or a read of you being a LP raiser. But either way that's a lot better than limping with AKs I think. Poker is a game of information, and I think raising gets you a lot better information in this scenario, than putting out disinformation on a call while not being paired yourself.

I would raise this spot Pre Flop given your position. Should buy u position (unless button is a 80/0 type) and not let the blinds in cheaply.

All call is not horrible but as u found out it makes the hand that bit harder to play when you hit it.

Re-raise on the flop is good but I really think that villian has a premium-hand here and that Button is on a draw. I think that a fold is probably good here but I would have a hard time making it.

raise preflop. I'm never calling there.

He could have AK or AA. I'm going to find out preflop if I get reraised.

Exactly, you need to find out where you stand with AK at this stage.
