Anyone have a link to replay rules? Wikipedia says scoring plays and "touching of a kick" are reviewable, but nothing about FGs being universally non-reviewable.

[/ QUOTE ]

I had on CBS and they weren't allowed to show the game live, so they had the pregame guys doing a play by play and then showing the plays after they happened.

They said they had contact with someone in the NFL and they confirmed the FG was reviewable under the rules.

Watching the studio-show guys react to everything and babble over each other about it was asinine. Then they would just show it 5 seconds later.

They should have put their own monitors on delay or something. Do something to make it feel more like real-time.
Looking at James Brown say, "and the kick is on the way....etc etc" while the other 3 all react and are talking over him made for the worst television ever.

Even better solution though: Hey NFL!!! Change your idiot blackout and join-in-progress rules for crying out loud.

Most of the country gets to see this incredible finish but because of where I live I have to watch the stupid studio show guys instead?
Idiotic.

I hate you NFL for having the most restrictive join-in-progress rules ever. This was a great finish and there is no reason I should have been blacked-out from seeing it.

Why am I under the impression that this is because of the Supreme Court ruling all those years ago? I could very well be misinformed but I think that is what is causing all this.

The join in progress rules are for the benefit of the other network, so I dunno how a Supreme Court case would control it.

Pretty sure the join in progress rules come from the TV contracts.
