San Miguel. Big room, mostly low limit. You will love it, I was playing there last weekend while caught in the Santa Anna wind storm.

I think that Big Denny's Casino that Max Shapiro always writes about is there.

I would go SW from Barstow if I wanted to go play poker. You are about half way between LA and Vegas.

Vegas isn't three hours from Barstow. Not even on Friday afternoon.

If you get out of town by 3pm Friday, you will arrive at Russell Rd. by about 5:15pm. According to Yahoo Maps it is 157 miles, 2hr. 17 minute drive. Poker rates at someplaces are pretty cheap.

For Los Angeles, its about the same due to traffic and a room at Commerce is gonna cost about $119 a night or something like that.
