The flop call doesnt give you a good outlook on future betting. Always consider how the future betting will look like if you call.
What will you do if the turn bricks and he checks. If you bet you'll be allin, if you check you are f'ed on the river.

So you have 3 choices really:
Call & push a bricked checked turn, fold to a push
Push flop & hope queens stand up vs. his draw.
Folding is too weak imo.

Not really good situations, because villain might aswell have KK/AA.

Tuff hand. I would tend to go with the conservative way, and call the bet, obviously folding to the push on the turn.

I think you need to have folded or reraised villain's last preflop raise. What range of hands are you putting him on? AA, KK, QQ, JJ-TT (maybe but prolly not), not AK, and possibly 88 if he's being very aggressive. But the fact that you say he's TAGish makes this more of AA-JJ. Prolly, you're behind. That turn card coulda induced an AI from him b/c he's scared of the spade draw and the 7 to make a straight. I think he's way ahead.

Maybe the way that you played it is fine.

Thanks for all the replies on this. I thought Villain might have AK here, which is mainly why I called the pfr and the flop bet. A while later, I asked what he had and he said it had been KK. Of course, he could be fos, but he said this before I said anything else about the hand so I tend to believe it.

With a 21 I think that makes him a semi-loose aggressive player. From my experience a majority of the players online player very straight up poker. So with that I give them credit for their raises until their hands I get to see make me think otherwise.

With such a large re-raise pre-flop I would have seriously considered folding. If I thought he was on tilt from the previous hand I'd give the raise less credit.

After he fires in the flop raise I would have folded if I believed he was strong or gone all-in showing him that anytime he attempts to push me around he needs to realize that it'll be for all his chips.

Sometimes it's important to take a stand letting the table know you wouldn't be a sucker easily pushed around.

[ QUOTE ]

If he has AK, why would he push turn?

And if he were going to push the turn with AK, why would you stop him by pushing the flop?
