Default TT in BB

5/10 on AP.

don't have the HH at work so bare with me.

TdTh

pfr from MP (like a 35/15 seems pretty meh)
CO CC (he's a loose passive)
SB calls, and I 3-bet from the BB.
(12SB)
flop KJcXc

SB checks
I bet (is this even a good spot to c-bet?)
MP calls
CO folds
SB folds

(8BB)
turn Tc
BOARD: KJxT (3 clubs)

I bet
MP raises.

Should I 3-bet here, call down if capped? call and c/r a non-club river?

just call
he has a straight or flush very often here. not many 2pair hands make sense because tp+ raises the flop most of the time to protect his hand on a drawy board

c/r a board pairing river, c/c otherwise

edit: you may be able to get a b/3b in on a pairing river if villain is reasonably aggro to go along with being 'meh'

yeah I thought you guys might think I was too aggro with it. I called the turn and c/r the rag river.

I was really frozen up on the hand, because the turn card seemed like the best card for my hand, but at the same time every draw just hit. Felt like I was good often enough to put in more action, but if I get capped it really sucks.

stove it up, see what your EQ is on the turn vs different villain ranges

I would reccomend discounting/eliminating any Kx hands

yeah I am pretty much being crushed by a rational range. He ended up having K7 (with the 7 of clubs), which I guess means my best play would have been to 3-bet turn (although I would have made the same by going for the river c/r).

However if I give him a reasonable range I'm being crushed. I definitely think your line is right, I just made a mistake at the right time. After the hand I thought about it and realized that I would never fold if I got 3-balled on the river, so I probably should have called down or c/r'd if I boated on the river. I just wanted to make sure going passive wasn't bad here since I sometimes think I get too passive with good hands on the later streets.

meh here's to good variance...
