Default River b/f w/ Overpair

my image at this table is very solid and in control (not that i expect people to pay attention. i haven't played with any of these guys before, so they are unaware of my spewy tendencies. i haven't played any big pots, but have been raising consistently in position, taking it down preflop or on the flop w/ c-bets. i may have given up on the turn once or twice.

the villain hasn't done anyting terrible. however, he does seem to call a lot. i wasnt using hud, since i was only four tabling, but i would assume he is like 22/12 or thereabouts.

effective stacks are 200.

i raise JJ utg and villain cc UTG+1, everone else folds.

flop: T73r

i bet 12 into a 15 pot and villain cc w/o much though, but not instantly.

turn give us another 7. i bet 24 into 39 pot. again, he cold calls after a short pause.

the turn is another 3 and I lead for 45 or so (just over half pot). villain pauses for a few seconds and then pushes.

i fold.

Personally i've tried to stop making those really transparent 1/2 pot river value bets with hands that cant take any heat. I either bet more on the river or dont bet at all.

I think the river is a good fold.

disagree.

Fold looks good.
Especially with "seems to call alot"
could very easily have a 7.

89 would be the obvious air though.

Looks okay to me.

On the river, the value bet is really thin, since you're repping an overpair for sure and it he was calling down with a T it's tough to make that 3rd call (especially since you don't have an image of a 3barrel bluffer). If the flop was like 7 or 8 high and you had a reasonable chance of getting paid by a smaller overpair I'd like a river bet more.

I assume your bet on the river was to block a bluff and get a call from a ten. Now that you are raised, I think you have to fold.

yeah thats pretty much it. i figured he would check behind his tens, but might make a crying call on the river, since he seemed to be a station.

does anybody ever c/f this river, if he makes a sizeable bet? at the time i felt like it was too weak, but i am unsure he would bluff me here.

I don't really like checking here.

Seems like he would pay off a reasonable bet with a T,
but check through.

You defined your hand. He knows you don't have a 7 or a 3. He called the flop. He could have either. He can put you in with air here.

Personally, I check-call reasonable sized bets on the river with overpairs after firing 2 barrels out of position.
