Default $65 Live MTT bubble play with QQ

6 people left 5 get paid previous orbit villian who is the only one ahead of me in chips raised 5k at 500/1k blinds with AK.

Villian- 20k
3 other medium stacks at ~10kish
SB has 4500 and I'm in BB with about 15k
Villian limps folds to SB who completes I raise to 3500 with QQ Villian shoves without much thought. Hero?? whats your calling range. Also, whats your raising range to start out. My image has been solid and other players generally stayed away from me.

I beat him into the pot Hellmuth-style, haha.

If he's willing to make that play for what is going to end up being 75% of his stack, you have to at least recognize the possibility that he has something. There is a chance he's trapping you. However, even if he is trapping, it is very likely that he's trapping with a worse hand than yours.

It's not just AA or KK that I could see him making this play with. I think he might also do it with something like 88-QQ or AJ-AK.

Of course, there is a chance he has nothing and thinks you're just screwing around.

To me, it adds up to a call...a quick call, possibly followed by some sort of touchdown celebration.

I guess to answer your question, I'm calling with 1010+ and AQ+. To start out, I'd raise there with any suited ace, any A10+, or any pair.

Good luck!

I would have just shoved the first time around with QQ. If he is slow playing KK-AA then he's getting my stack.

we dont have to put villian on AA KK here
villian could easly do this with a lower pair aswell
like 55-TT putting hero on a sqeeuze play because of the limpers

also youre on the bubble and hes got you covered he must figure you cant possibly call here without AKs or JJ+

i call

My raising range is pretty tight here in BB, I'm happy to see a flop with most hands, since stack sizes are bad for stealing (SB might feel he's too committed, Villain has a decent stack size to jam over you with FE).
I'm definitely insta-snap-auto-calling shove here. QQ! Shorthanded! Shortishstacked! Not particularly close.
