whats the rule when a winning all-in player leaves thinking he lost?
the hand was against james woods. he raised all-in with Ah 6h. it was a little less than a min raise. everyone folded so i called in the big blind without looking and then flip up Kh 2h. the flop was 2 hearts and the turn was an ace so i'm drawing completely dead. the river was a blank. i said "nice hand". then he says "nice hand" and starts walking away. i'm thinking "wtf is this guy going??" but i'm not about to say anything if he wants to let me have the chips. of course, all of sudden the dealer yells at him to come back to the table because he won. what is suppose to happen in this situation? i would think the dealer should keep his mouth shut.

I would have told him to come back to the table before the dealer had a chance too.
You sound like a douche. |

The hand were tabled for everyone to see. The winner gets the pot. It is the duty of the dealer to award the pot to the winning tabled hand.

[/ QUOTE ] Could you be any more ignorant? It's the dealer's job to push the pot to the winner of the hand, especially when the cards have been tabled as in this scenario. You are indeed a douche if you were hoping he'd walk away and surrender the pot to you when you clearly knew you were beat. |
