im not advocating a fold. im saying you need to consider his hand range. some people will never make that 4bet with a draw, just air or monster.

How deep do we have to be before this is not an instapush?

350BB?? it sucks because this flop was taken for only 1 raise.

edit: 500BB?? I mean in this EXACT given situation somewhere around here is where I start to draw the line.

Prolly like 500BB+ and I start thinking about folding. Though even then its close. Then you probably just call and get it in on a safe turn or river.

what range are you putting the sb on? stats were 28/11. my thought process was he has a big draw, 66 although strange to just limp in, or possibly AA. i figured pocket 10's was not realistic. so i'm way behind one hand, one ahead of one hand, and about 2 to 1 against a draw. i didn't want to get into a tough spot if a spade fell on the turn so i pushed. thoughts?

It's well played imo, I think something like T6s isn't that unlikely. Players like that take it personally when you raise their limps so they defend with a lot of garbage that they limped with. AA is definitely a possibility. And air rarely but occasionally.

to be honest, i really wanted to fold and might have if i had a little more time. the time was running out and i wasn't sure so i pushed.

the reason i think you can maybe fold here is that his bet sizes were begging for a call. he checked and then min-raised. i 3 bet the size of the pot and he 4 bets not much more than a min-raise again. he has to also realize that we are deep stacked. i think my 3 bet slows him down with aces. atleast he will want to see what the turn brings. if he has a draw, he is either going to call my 3 bet, or raise enough to get me to fold. i just think both of his raises are begging for calls which would indicate 66. i think if he has 66 even 50% of the time here, it would be a fold considering the stacks.

Yeah I'm getting this in. If preflop is different, like him raising you calling I might fold but goddamn is it close.
