Re: Is Absolute beatable with the BBJ extra rake?
that's too bad..so if you're a low limit grinder it's pretty much futile to play at Absolute. Yes, most of the tables are now BBJ and the juicier ones are BBJ. This is just disconcerting. Absolute is a genius to pull off this kind of scam.

Re: Is Absolute beatable with the BBJ extra rake?
It would almost be worth it if I had a fat chance in hell of ever winning that bbj(or seated at that table). I would take a much smaller average jackpot for Aces full queens or better.

Re: Is Absolute beatable with the BBJ extra rake?
I'm a VIP Elite NL100 player primarily and have been playing on AP for about 5-6 months. I ran at around 5BB/100 over 150-200K hands and then moved up to NL200 about two weeks before the BBJ was introduced. I ran well and then broke even for a while at NL200 and so I dropped back down to NL100. I've broken even for over 50K hands now at a mix of .5/1 and 1/2, primarily nl100.
I had no idea how it was possible for me to run that bad for 50K hands after having a solid(not great) winrate over 150-200K hands. At this point I'm pretty sure the BBJ has killed the games for me as far as profitability goes. I'm done playing at AP now and will start looking for a new home. Sucks...I loved that site. Why AP why? $$$$$ |

Why AP why? [/ QUOTE ] It's a sneaky way to rake 6 more cents a hand. Not only do the yget the first 10% but they get 10% of the 20% carryover too when the next one hits. Also somehow their traffic is even slightly up. I doubt that will last long though as I can't imagine the fish are going to get raped by that rake forever chasing a dream. It worked for Party though so who knows. |

Re: Is Absolute beatable with the BBJ extra rake?
The fish have no idea that they are getting raped. After all, BBJs at B&M are $1 normally and they LOVE the BBJ. What's 50 cents when they can win $160k?

Re: Is Absolute beatable with the BBJ extra rake?
The difference between AP and Party is that at least Party isolated all the BBJ games on a different tab. I think it's really key (and smart) that AP introduced all of the BBJ games with all the normal games. So the fish start flocking to this new feature "oh sweet i can win 160K) and that's that. Sucks, the traffic is picking up there and the action is getting a little bit better, just it's all at BBJ tables.

Re: Is Absolute beatable with the BBJ extra rake?
at no other casino I had roughly the same number of bad beats then at AP in the last 2 month. There are a few players with a VP$IP>50 and who raise PF 98o or 42s, who crashed my cards a way to much. And this players are the biggest winners in my AP PT database. The tighter players with enough hands are all loosers...

[/ QUOTE ] I'd guess that these players are playing hands that traditionally do very well in multiway pots like A23 that they are used to playing in casino play but with tighter online games hands like AKJ3 go way up in value because the flops have three players intead of seven. |
