why are they doing this to me ???
The last few days I have been playing PokerStars, mostly shorthanded 3060, with a couple hundred hands of 1-2 mixed in.
I have not "really" been on tilt but playing a little faster than normal. -3 betting some cheese out of the sb -calling 2 bets in BB with small PP and raising most flops -checkraising with just overcard pair draws... -yadda yadda yadda, been having fun trying some different things Anyway, in my current quazi maniac state, I have caught more river raise bluffs in the past 3 days than I have caught in the previous 6 months. any clue whats up ? I havent played on stars much until recently so maybe its just the way it is over there ...

The obvious explanation is that you're playing too fast and then having to fold to pressure on late streets. People see this and assume you're a folder who is full of [censored] half the time anyway. So they run some plays at you.

I think it's quite the opposite. Nomar is likely running THEM over and they are beginning to get frustrated and are using the river raise as a last desperate attempt to blow the maniac off his hand.
