bet the turn, check the river, if he c/r the turn just fold...

super hard board to bluff/semi bluff on

[/ QUOTE ]

i'm even worse huhu than victor claims to be, but fwiw I like this better than calling the river. Even if he decided to mess around with T6s on this flop he should be giving up on this turn card sometimes.

Folding the river can't be far from correct either (though if you're kicker hadn't been counterfeit u'd prob call).

But from my experiences this is certiantly true,
some people try to c/r bluff in this spot but only the really agro ones.

[/ QUOTE ]

well also ppl who *are* balancing their defensive checks will c/r an ace in this spot. i def balance my defensive checks in this way.

[/ QUOTE ]

thats not really fully balancing their defensive checks...

Fully balancing a defensive check is to have hands in your range that you are check/raising AND check/folding.

A lot of people do the former, not the later...
Thats the part thats critical to the hand.

BTW gherig, what part were you disagreeing with my statement?
for clarities sake when I said "beating basically nothing", i meant very little..
Clearly you are beating other 2's in his range, which is a significant percentage, but not enough of a percentage to warrent a profitble call against a "showdownable hand only" range.

if you are disagreeing with the first part of my sentence, then you either misinterpreted me or are disagree with pretty much everyone in this thread.

not really sure about the river. but just from reading the replies i think people are undervaluing the info you could potentially get at this stage in the match by calling.

you definitely got the turn right though.

i dont think the info has much value.

fish dont play long sessions
if he shows down T8 then i think most ppl adjust and bluff less so i dont think im really learning much about his future ranges. and even if he didnt' adjust its not like id be changing what i think he has much anyway

altho it is valuable to know if he has something like KT bc that changes my strategy pretty substantially
