I think you should be able to change up until game time, but I think that you should have`to field a complete lineup each week

[/ QUOTE ]

I actually kind of agree with you, but I don't feel guilty about it like I would if I were tanking or colluding.

Somebody in my league went from a win to a loss on a Wednesday, after Thomas Jones' rushing yards miraculously increased by 4. If you look through the previous adjustments made this season, you'll get a decent idea of how common it is and what kinds of changes are made. I'm sure your best bet is to bench Clark and hope the score holds.

No, you're playing within the rules so it isn't cheating or anything like that. I just think it's a bad rule.

I don't know what site you use, but CBS Sportsline does not register a specific Defense/Special Teams metric until after the week is over (I'm not sure which one). It's not uncommon to see a team increase 1-4 points on Tuesday.

Yahoo. That's a good point and one I hadn't considered. I should check.

I tried searching Google for a list like this. Do you have a link?

does anyone else think that removing players should be illegal

[/ QUOTE ]I think you should be able to change up until game time, but I think that you should have`to field a complete lineup each week- this prevents you from doing what OP is discussing and it also prevents obvious tanking/collusion. So, in this case you would be able to switch if you had another TE playing in the game, but you would not be able to have nobody at TE for the week.

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree that you shouldn't be allowed to leave a blank slot. It is a bs move, and it shouldn't be done, regardless of whether or not there is a rule.

Well, as long as no rule exists, I don't have a problem with people doing it. I guess we just disagree.

Conclusion: I ended up benching Clark. He scored 0 anyway, so I would be in an identical situation if I had played him.

No changes ===> I win 77-76 and slip into the playoffs as the #4 seed!
