you have to call this river against just about anyone, much less a good player that can be tricky. after the way you played flop/turn, he puts you on a decent ace and if he has any respect for your game at all, he could be straight up bluffing you, value betting a weaker jack, or have missed a flush draw or something and just is trying to push you out.

1. people raise Ax more than Jx preflop

2. there are more combos of Ax then Jx on the turn

Without the prior hands in the session, I don't know 100%, but I think it would be difficult to expect a C/R after you bet/call the turn. You check the river and he has to bet, especially if it's the only way to win the pot.

Sorry, I didnt mean it was played bad. haha. i meant given the action of the hand I would call the river because he could put you on AK or AQ or any ace for that matter, and you might lay down. he also might be value betting j10 and think you might call with an ace. so there is a lot of reasons why he could be betting without you being beat, which would lean me to call.

Looks like a horrible fold. Aside from bluffs, why can't he v-bet weaker J-x the same way since most of your range is A-x?
