*WORLD SERIES GAME 2 THREAD: Rockies (Jimenez) @ Red Sox (Schilling)*

Big, big game tonight. Last night's final score doesn't matter and the potential for a Sox let down is huge. 1-1 back to Denver was Colorado's goal to begin with.

Going for the Rocks: Anything has to be better than last night AMIRITE? Schilling is getting by on guts more than stuff these days, and the meat of the Colorado lineup has to be smarting from last night, looking at you Brad Hawpe.

Going for the Sox: Lineup remains red hot. Rookie Rockie on the mound. Schilling's guts and guile still seem to go a long way. Real chance to step on their necks.

Prediction: Much closer game if Jiminez makes it through 3 inning relatively unscathed then it's a classic playoff nail biter.

First off, your prediction has an "if", which isn't much of a prediction. Second, I wouldn't count on this one being much of a nail biter. Is there any good reason to think the Sox bats will cool off against Ubaldo freakin' Jimenez?

red sox win, 6-2. rockies looked bad in game 1, very bad, and yes it is only 1 game, but they got handled and have a rookie throwing game 2 against schil.....

I hope they have another night like last night, but the Rox are liable to break out if Schilling leaves his fastball over the plate to much. Im cautiously optimistic about tonight. With Jimenez's stuff he can potentially dominate if he commands it. Either way, let's go and make it 2-0

I didnt make a prediction in my post. I'm gonna say 8-5 Red Sox, with schilling going 6, and Jimenez throwing 5 giving up 4 earned, and the Rockies bullpen getting lit up
