Default Ugh, TD 30/60

not played much with villian, but earlier he limped utg, called a raise, drew 1 in a multiway pot and folded abruptly on the second betting round. My inage is tight/aggressive, but have been in/won lots of hands recently... whats my best option here?

Triple Draw 2-7 Lowball Limit ($30/$60) (converter)

SB ($2102.50), Seat 1
BB ($1200), Seat 2
UTG ($1259), Seat 3
Hero ($3898), Seat 4
CO ($971), Seat 5
Button ($1794), Seat 6

Button at Seat 6.
SB posts $15. BB posts $30.

Hand: [6c 8s 2h 7s Kc]

Round 1: (1.50 SB)

Hero discards Kc. Button takes 2.

This a textbook example of why I no longer cap out of position with powerful hands that may play rough on later streets like 6c 8s 2h 7s if its HU and I am out of position (stick another person in the pot and I cap it pre-draw).

First things first - does your opponent tend to raise like a cyclopes whenever he improves, without regard to your # of draws?

Considering he just raised with a 1 draw when you were also drawing 1 at worst I would consider patting here and probably c/f the river simply because if he is pat then your 876 won't be good anyway a lot and he may break a 9 (probably not) if we pat first.

I really like this line. If it's not a fold, this is the way to play it.

An alternate take on this line is to check rather than bet to manipulate the size of the pot. We know the opponent isn't folding and is probably drawing cleaner from his actions. So why not check/call and stand pat, the worse case scenario of the opponent checking behind isnt the worst, giving a free card isn't horrible here. Its a line that really confuses the opponent and may encourage him top stand pat behind with a T. The downside is that you have to call river bets vs some opponents, but at least you kept the pot size reasonable when the opponent is drawing to the nuts, and therefore has many outs to beat you.
