Re: 30/60 Stud8 vs. Fossilman
[ QUOTE ]
You've got a decision to make on 5th st. - whether or not he has trip 3's. Apparently you decided that he didn't by calling the raise, so call down with aces up and unless he backdoors something better you split the pot. If you were wrong, and you don't fill up, you made a costly mistake. ...such is poker. [/ QUOTE ] Well, on 5th there was still a chance we'd backdoor a low, or Fossilman would catch poorly on 6th and check, representing a big draw that bricked. Now we have new information on 6th, he hit a gin card, we bricked, a fold is looking a lot more appealing with this info. To the guy who called this a "premium hand" at the risk of getting leveled you are outside your mind. -DeathDonkey |

Re: 30/60 Stud8 vs. Fossilman
I think I might fold 3rd because of our dead Ace. The only thing making me want to play is the ugly door cards behind us, and that makes me want to complete if I'm going to play. After that 4th is fine obviously. 5th I don't think you're getting the A2 out with a 3bet and there seems to be a very real chance Raymer has trips. 6th you certainly can't raise, but I still don't think I fold, I'm probably showdown bound in calldown shell after 5th unless things get crazy.

Re: 30/60 Stud8 vs. Fossilman
Folding third can't be far wrong. Fourth is a clear bet, as is fifth. Raymer's check-raise looks pretty scary, but he could well have a strong draw rather than trips. I'd call and see what happens.
Of course, what happens is that Greg catches a scary card and you, uh, don't. I think this is still a call, but I wouldn't really like it. I strongly recommend that you catch a Four on the river. I don't think there's an Ace left for you to catch. That's basically what you're hoping, anyway. |
