Default Using Two Monitors - Where On Earth Do I Start?

This is a very basic question, but I'd like to start playing three or four tables and have quickly realised that trying to play even just three on the same screen is a little bit tricky.

How does using a second monitor actually work and what bits of hardware and software (other than the monitor itself) do I need?

You can fit 4 tables on one screen if you get a monitor that has 1600 by 1200 resolution.

you need a video card that supports two monitors. Once you do that it is pretty easy.

um, it acts as a second monitor

you can move stuff over to it, maximize it to that screen, etc

using a program like ultramon makes it even more usable, with a taskbar that displays everything that is running on that monitor, etc

[/ QUOTE ]Or you can buy another cheap video card to go next to your first. If you have the room in your case, this will definitely be cheaper than tossing the old one and buying a fancy new one.

true, but it is much easier in my opinion to just buy a dual monitor card for $120 or so. It is worth it in the long run IMHO (only one set of drivers etc..)
