Re: ($55) Bubble JJ faces odd sized raise
[ QUOTE ]
I agree he could have just about anything and not want to push. The fact is that a t800 bet with a t1700 stack just about commits him to go all in. So it looks like that's what he wants, and that means he is loaded for bear. Bears eat JJ. [/ QUOTE ] im going to go out on a limb and assume you fold even QQ here |

Folding is not an option if you want to beat this level. I think this hand would be much more interesting if SB would've shoved over the top of CO.

Re: ($55) Bubble JJ faces odd sized raise
It's two handed (two folds) and I'm trying to figure out what villain is up to. His actions suggest he is up to no damn good. I got dealt two jacks, but I'm not in love with them, and my objective is to win the tournament, not this hand. If I fold I still have my 20 bbs.

With QQ I would think longer and harder, but I would be leaning toward setting him all in.

Re: ($55) Bubble JJ faces odd sized raise
[ QUOTE ]
I think my MTT "upbringing" is causing me to think way too much in these STT's. Is it better not to think so much in these shallow 1000 chip events and just be more of a gamblero? [/ QUOTE ] It's not gambling. Just playing the numbers game. You can take advantage of smaller, albeit riskier edges in STT's, while you have to focus more on survival in MTT's and wait for prime opportunities. |
