Default Started working from NYC office: where to eat?

I've recently (this week) switched offices from Boston to NYC. I'm making friends and they are showing me places to eat, but they tend to stay close to the building (52nd St and 6th Ave) and I don't mind wandering a little further away. Any recommendations for this area?

Random addition: what is there to do around here, too? I noticed Rockefeller center is a block away, as is the MoMa, anything else within walking distance (besides Time Square)?

Food: Check out Sapporo for good quick and inexpensive Japanese. It's right by you on 49th between 6th and 7th. John's pizzeria on 44th in between 6th and 7th is probably the best pizza in midtown. I'm sure you can find whatever you are looking for in a restaurant nearby.
Where to go: If you mean like during the day and near work, Rockafeller/St Patricks/fifth ave (apple store is cool) is nice. Also, check out Bryant Park.

I second that. Bryant Park on 6th bet 40-42nd is nice and has an outdoor cafe/bar toward the back.

theres an italian deli/restaurant on 50th between 6th and 7th (across the street from lehman brothers) that has awesome paninins.

for a drink after work check out the hudson hotel on west 58th (and 8th avenue), the penntop bar at the peninsula hotel (5th and 56th i think?), or go to the stone rose at the time warner center (columbus circle)....theres also a shopping mall in the time warner center as well as some unreal restaurants (ie; $$$$) in there too.

on weekends its all about soho and the meatpacking district.

You can get two weeks worth of lunches on 9th avenue from 48th - 55th streets. All different kinds of restaurants.

Faces & Names, a bar/restaurant on 54th between 6th & 7th (closer to 7th) is great for watching day baseball, having a beer and a eating a good sandwich.

Burger Joint in the Parker Meridien Hotel on 57th & 6th is amazing (once inside the main lobby, look for the neon hamburger).
