Default channeling your inner \"nath\"......

i want to take the time to thank nath and some of the other more agressive players for improving my game.

i generally played like a veritable dan harrington on steroids, tight as a crab's ass, with moderate success grinding out a reasonable profit, but not much hope of moving up with my uber-tight ways.

i many times make the money, but generally got to the bubble with 50% of the average stack and limited to being in push or fold mode. kind of a sucky, yet somewhat profitable way to play.

after spending months reading and watching the "heart" of some of the better players, i decided to take the plunge and tweak my game by adding agressiveness with reasonable draws and some connecting cards.

i essentially channeled my "inner nath", and i found , i definitely had one, be like the monster popping out of the chest in the movie "ALIEN"

i like the results....

for example, last night in a $33 nl i found myself in the unusual position of having the chip lead with 24 to go after agressively playing a couple of flush and straight draws earlier. this gave me the chips to more creative.

not withstanding the fact i got crippled with QQ v. AA and put out 8th when JJ<55, but i had a real chance to win and just not limp into a small piece.

i don't think most low to intermediate players are sufficiently appreciative of the free lessons they receive from the better players, and i wanted to take the time to thank the cogniscenti for their invaluable help.

Maybe Dan can also get some instruction from Nath to improve his game?

I agree.

A while back, I used to think I understood the concept of pwning the bubble. Then, one day, I happened to sweat a 55r where there were about 6 or so top 2+2ers (Funki, Nath, Ansky, Rizen, etc, etc, etc). Oh boy, was I wrong. I learned to turn up my agression even more. It is one thing to read/write posts, but watching top players in action can be very beneficial to your game.

Yep - there's many of us who'd like to thank the many posters on 2+2 who have helped improved the play of many a donk - me included.
