A few of my faves that haven't been mentioned

A Night at the Roxbury
Flash Gordon
Shaun of the Dead
Rudy

[/ QUOTE ]

How the hell does Shaun of the Dead (and Rudy for that matter) fit into this category?

Here are some of my personal choices:
Freddy vs. Jason
She (1983)
Tank Girl
Raw Deal
Bring it On
and mostly...
anything with Steven Seagal

[/ QUOTE ]

The Seagal part is spot on; whenever Under Siege II is on TV I can't help but watch it (who doesn't appreciate the "You're Fcked" beeper scene?).

It's been said, but let's keep saying it:

The average quality of the movies in this thread is way too high. A movie isn't objectively bad just because it's in a genre that has a bad reputation, or because it has old school special effects, or because the cast includes Patrick Swayze.

Okay, I just noticed that I've complained 2.5 times in this thread and haven't actually contributed anything. I think Street Fighter and Tank Girl are perfect choices (I [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Bring it On, but I actually think it's on a level above us all and totally aware of how amazing it is).

It's a great experience when a movie thinks it's brilliant but really is awful but really does have some moments where it's interesting or creative.

how about:

Troll
Into the Blue
The Day After Tomorrow
Hard Cash
The Phantom Menace
The Punisher (2004)
Troll 2

Yes, and most of the comedies mentioned in this thread, are among the better half of the genre.

I think I'm the only one in the world who really likes this movie and I'm not quite sure why.

[/ QUOTE ]

I also like it.
