Why Poker in General in Cashgame allows shortstacking?

Why is deepstacking allowed? Why is it a 5 card hand made of 7 cards? I got three pair one time.
Why can't we use the jokers?

Better yet, learn effective strategy to play against a ss. Which at NL 10, is effectively having a pulse and being able to read the board.

I had two players at the same table buying in for $40 at a time at a 1/2 300 max buy-in table. Rediculous.

I wouldn't care so much if they made it a 50bb minimum, but eh, whatever. At least most SSers are bad

First of all I normally buy-in for 100 times the big blind but anyone who plays equal to me and buys in for the minimum in a n/l game has a distinct advantage over me and others at the table. That is why I said smart, caution should have nothing to do with it.

If they have the same skill level as you but a smaller stack how are they at an advantage? Having a smaller stack forces them to be more cautious with their starting hands because when they enter a hand they have to have the best chance of winning it but they can't allow themselves to be pushed out of a pot by the bigger stacks or blinded down.

Briefly, the opposite is true, this is a cash game, not a tourney. Lastly they can never be bluffed out of a pot by a scare card as they will become pot committed much sooner than a larger stack. You can either trust me on this or read one of several books that address this subject.
