Any thoughts would be appreciated. Player was extremely aggressive but not an idiot. I probably donked pretty bad but always love to hear analysis.

In a vaccum I think you can get away from this when you are so deep but obv it depends on reads. The key is to ask how much of his range includes a draw and a worse overpair here.

Meh, the thing is, if you don't think he'll get 200BBs in on the flop with something you beat, you should probably try to play a bit more pot control. Maybe call the c/r and get it in on a safe turn.

Hard to say though since HU is so read/feel-based. There are plenty of times where I'd fistpump getting it in there.

Just call the flop raise and re-evaluate on the turn. You played it like you were the one with the 8's.

Most of the time when you re-raise a check raiser they will fold. If they raise you back all in they usually have an overpair beat, because the chances are too great that you will call.
