Default 16: Mid-pair open-raise facing a push.

Hi,

I haven't played in a long time. I didn't feel very good about this one, but couldn't figure out if there was anything wrong with it. I am comfortable that open-pushing is bad, and I don't really like limping here, so I prefer raising. When he pushes, I am getting apx. 17:10 so I need to win this pot like 37% to break even. At the time I thought that some AKs in his range and maybe an AQs or something was enough, but it turns out that I really need him to be doing this with AJ or some 66/55s or something.

So, this is a fold?

I'd raise to t250 here, achieves the same thing. As played you should fold it might be a +cEV call, but doesn't mean it's a +$EV call, fold and wait for a better spot.

Just call preflop.

Calling PF is bad. You have not got the odds to call to hit your set.

I'd probably raise t250/275 here as Unknown S said. And depends on CO if I'd call or not, as you said depends on his range.

Folding PF is also fine.

CO would have to be real loose to make calling correct. Fold.
