I wish to work out my ROR percentages for sngs but i need to know how to figure my standard deviation for sngs. Anyone know how to derive this?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_deviation

It's a pretty simple calculation. x_bar = you average payout per sng. xi = you payout for each individual sng when you've played N sngs.

So, you play 5 sngs and you payouts are:

300
100
0
-100
200

N = 5.
x_bar = (300+100+0-100+200)/5 = 100

summation:

(300-100)^2 + (100-100)^2 + (0-100)^2 + (-100-100)^2 + (200-100)^2 = 100 000.

stand dev = (1/5*100 000)^1/2 = 141.4

If you go to Sharkscope and export all of your results to an Excel sheet, I have a Data Analysis plug-in for Excel that will let me calculate the SD, among other things. PM me for my email address.

Why do people feel the need to give these type of answers. If you're not interested in the question fair enough but there really is no need for sarcasm imo.
